Good friend dx'ed yesterday...

I got a call today from a good friend, crying, saying she needed my help because she has breast cancer. She is about 36 with a 15 month old at home. They went through fertility tx 2 years ago and she was pregnant with triplets, ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks and delivered over 3 months early....lost 2 of the babies and one survived (he was just 2# 1 oz at birth, the biggest of the 3). He spent 3 months in the hospital and is doing really well... they just got the wind back in their sales and now this.


They are terrified, still needs staging. She had 2 tumors that were both cancer, has MRI tomorrow and CT and bone scans on Monday.



Obviously they are terrified and we're all shaken up...keep Stefanie in your prayers as we welcome another sister to this darn club.

So sorry for your friend, Lori. Not a nice way to celebrate Mother's Day is it? I will say prayers for Stefanie. Lordy, she's just a few years older than my DD. How devastating it would be to learn your DD is going through breast cancer. Stefanie is lucky she has you to lean on. Sad hugs, Lauri (dxed 04/11/1996)

Lori, so sorry to hear this. I just hate any one hearing this news. Cancer is so wrong. When it comes to young mothers there is no word for it. Prayers for this young mother. Joyce

So sorry to hear about your friend.  I was 36 at dx, with 2 tumors as well.  Just celebrated the big 50 and still counting, and the youngest just graduated from college on Saturday.  Be sure your friend knows that hope still floats!  We'll be hoping for good results for her tests.
