hi ladies,

Has anyone been on arimidex after menopause and had horrible joint and muscle pain? If so what did you do to cope? I am 45 and feel like I'm 90. Every inch of me hurts. Any help?

I'm 48 and on Arimidex. I had the pain and tiredness more with Femara, so switched. Everyone is different. Have you tried Femara? Maybe you would tolerate that better. Other than that, I guess we have to just bear it for the time we need to take it. Good luck.

Kathy is right - everyone is different. For me, I couldn't tolerate arimidex so doc switched me to femara and I can tolerate it much better. Still some joint pain, but only a fraction of what I felt like on arimidex. Best of luck!~

Just never read about anyone else with the same problems. Going to call the oncologist tomorrow to see if I can get off it,

I am on Femara and I have not been having any real problems with it.
My onc is a firm believer in getting the Vitamin D level up to a level above 60. I was severely deficient in it when he first tested me. Turns out, Vitamin D not only reduces your risk of recurrence, but it also helps ameliorate the symptoms from AIs.
You might want to get your level checked.
