it is really good to see posts from new people who are fighting mets. We have had many members who tend to shy away when mets are diagnosed, as they are frightened of scaring away the "newcomers" to the board.
To me, the stage 4 fighters are an inspiration to others, the heroes in our midst. Just look at Jackie's (bandlady's) post! Wow! I am blessed to be NED for so many years now, but I have so much admiration for those among us who just keep fighting...and LIVING!, as Jackie said.
And too, the stage 4 fighters need support, which is what the boards are all about. For all the support they have given us these many years, for us to give some of that back is a gift in itself.
Cincy, we have actually had group get-togethers right here in town (I'm in Cincy, too.) Our first meeting was cincy-based, and I'm afraid to say...was it 1999??? Could it have been that long ago? So hard to believe! Some of our members were stage 4 at the time...and some are still with us, these many years later... now, how could that scare a newcomer!
So I'm hoping you ladies will keep coming back, keep posting, and most of all, keep fighting.
Take care...
