Nephrectomy anyone?

My boyfriend has PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). He had a bilateral nephrectomy on Valentine's Day this year. I am looking for a group of folks who may have gone through this procedure and may be able to help with some of the after-effects? Please contact me if anyone has information on where he can get some support on this issue.

Hi there and welcome to HealingWell!

Although I'm kinda new here as well, I was just thinking that maybe you could start a forum here on Kidney Disease and I bet
you'd get a ton of responses. I honestly don't know how to do that here, maybe check with one of the Moderators?

I am curious - how can a person survive without both their kidneys? Is he on constant dialysis?

I hope you find some support for this.
