I am going to the dr on the 23rd for my 6 month checkup. In April I went for my regular checkup and received a letter from the Dr saying they saw something in my left breast. Went back a week later for another mamogram but the Dr Said he compared my reports from LAST year to this year and don't see any different. I don't really have pain just  soreness under my arm as if I strained myself. At this point I'm imagining all kinds of things at this point. I feel something but don't know if its a lump or something else.

My daughter sent me a video a few weeks on about something new called "Inflammatory Breast Cancer" . Its something the Dr's don't look for. This also has me thinking.

My favorite saying is don't worry until you know you have something to worry about. You have two weeks to go until your check up. You have managed five and a 1/2 months and now all of a sudden you are worrying? Hang in there! Immflamatory Breast Cancer is pretty rare and it does have symptoms that are a little different, but can be identified. Chances of you having IBC are really unlikely. You can relax for a couple of weeks, ok? Hugs MK

I can give you some information. First, breast cancer almost never "hurts", but that is not always the case.
My friend had breast cancer 4 years ago.

Pain is not associated with the cancer's diagnosis. Plenty of us can say we did or did not have pain. It is a myth, but some doctors believe that if there is pain then it is not cancer....or maybe the other way around. There are no absolutes and no tricks to say if it is or is not cancer, just be sure to get it checked out.

That is so true.  I happen to be one of those who's lump hurt.  The important thing is to get anything unusual checked out just to be safe.

According to me you have two weeks to go until your check up. Pain is not associated with the cancer's diagnosis.
