Nine Years and the BIG 4-0!

Wow, time flies...
Last Sunday, November 30, marks NINE years since diagnosis, nine! Who'd a thunk it? Life is good. So much has happened to us all, it is mind boggling. Thanks, again, for traveling this journey with me...

And Saturday I turn the BIG Four O! I was really traumatized at 30 (and who knew I'd have cancer twice in my 30's!) and was looking forward to turning 40, just to be done with the 30's. But really, it seems now like no different day and is one of the least anti-climactic day I've anticipated. Go figure.

Anyway, ladies, another year winds down as we look to the holiday season and a year of good health for us all!

Happy Birthday tomorrow, Lori! I hope you have a great celebration. Life begins at 40 so they say. I know it has been a few years since I have seen you, but I still remember that cute perky looking young woman! If you still look as I picture you, you certainly are the youngest 40 year old I have seen.

Nine years out is good, too. I hope I am around for your next nine years!

Lori, Happy Birthday and congrats. I am so happy for you. Nine years really sounds sooooooo goooooood. Wishing you many, more anniversary celebrations. As for the birthdays I think after being diagnosed they are all wonderful. love and hugs. Joyce

lori...Congrats on the big 4-0 and the 9 years...I think you probably had doubts that you would see either, at one time. And you are right about so much happening to all of us in those years. it truly is incredible. Hope that is one thing the "newbies" learn from us, is that life IS good, even after a breast cancer diagnosis.
