Hi everyone

 

I know it has been a long time since I have posted, I do come and check out everything on a regular basis.

 

I lost one of my closest friends to this disease and I'm just sick about it. She was diagnosed just months before me and it had already spread. She went thru the mastectomy and chemo right away. For the first year after that she did okay but then the last 2 years were rough. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow and I don't know how I will get through it. I'm crying just trying to write this. I just can't believe I will never see her again or talk to her, life is just not fair. She was only 55!!! that is too young. Please say a little prayer for Debbie's family, I will miss her soo much.

I am sorry to hear about your friend, Bernadette. I know it is so hard to loose a good friend. I will say a prayer for her.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I lost my sister a week ago. She had surgery for colon cancer and came through that ok, but the next day she had a heart attack and died. Like you say life isn't fair. I'm battling her2 breast cancer and it really scares me. I'll say a prayer for your friend Bernadette. Hugs, Dee

Bernadette, I am sorry you have lost a friend to this terrible disease. And Dee, my sympathy to you and your family. I know they are making great strides in treatment but a cure is what is needed, too. Cancer in general is so awful. My very best friend for years is in the hospital in Ohio awaiting colon surgery on Friday. They found cancer in two places in her colon. My daughter continues to do well on the Avastin. Her hemoglobin came back to a normal 13.2 after having been at 7 with the cancer in her bone marrow. Let's all continue to hope and pray for those who battle any kind of cancer. Hugs, MK

Bernadette, I am so sorry for you and for your friend's family. The loss of any loved one is difficult, but as you say, one so young is almost incomprehensible. My thoughts are with you. Please come by and post more often. I miss you.

I too lost one of my best friends to breast cancer. Her words in the hospital when the DR told her she had weeks left at best are forever burned into my memory. "but I am only 34..." I am so sorry for your loss. This disease robs too many people of their lives. There is a grief support section in the bcsupport.org site for those who have lost someone to breast cancer.
