Personally, I've never had an ultrasound. I did, however, have dense breasts, and my initial mammogram report hit my mailbox the day after my biopsy confirmed cancer. Congratulations! There is no evidence of cancer on your mammogram! Unfortunately, the two lumps in my breast begged to differ with the radiologist. I thank my lucky stars every day that I had a doctor who insisted on biopsies, even though the mammo read "clean." I had two different types of invasive breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, I'm 52 and have been NED since mastectomy and chemo those many years ago.
Your biopsies may be benign, and odds are on your side that they will be. But if they aren't, whoever is recommending biopsies could be saving your life. Thank him, either way for his care and attention. Too many women come here who do not get that level of care.
And we'll be hoping those biospies come back benign! Let us know how it goes.
Hugs!
