Hi I had my breast biopsy a week ago today.I have not received my results. Does anyone know how long it takes for results to come back? I really would appreciate any advice or knowledge. Thank you.

The time involved is not an indicator of bad news....it all depends on where it has to be sent, weekends, the schedule of the pathologist, etc. Hang in there....we know the waiting is the hardest part!

Thank you Tavish for ur reply. I really do appreciate it alot. I m just nervous about
the results. My sister had breast cancer at the age of 39. She pass away September 27 2009 at the age of 45. I miss her dearly. Again Thank you.

Have you called your doctor? I would think the doctor would have the results by now. It's okay to call them to find out when you might have an answer. Waiting IS hard, and sometimes doctors forget that. Hope you get good news! And I'm sorry for your loss of your sister. If I were you, I probably would have been knocking down that doctor's door by now!
Hugs...

Hi Ladies,
My wife [41] was told she needed a biopsy. We are scheduled for Wednesday 11/24. We are scared to say the least. I've been going on the internet to find out more about
her situation and came across this site. Ladies you are amazing and courageous. This has changed my life [a wake up call] how precious my wife is and everyday for that matter. We will pray for her to be cancer free. I will pray for you women too. Stay positive and smile

We will definitely be hoping for "benign" for her as well. You are right, it is so easy to take our loved ones for granted. We try to look at each day as a gift around here. I hope you will keep that thought, regardless of the outcome.
Good luck on Wednesday... and let us know how it turns out.

Just wanted to offer my good wishes to both of you. I hope you get benign results. I had a biospy 14 years ago. I had signed papers for a mastectomy if the results showed cancer. I had my mastectomy and the final lab results showed very early stages. I did not have chemo or radiation and have no signs of cancer today. So take your time and get all results before deciding about
surgery!! Let us know!
