Jodii posted on Facebook that she could possibly go home in two weeks.  I have not talked to her and no nothing more.  I can't imagine she can go home without a caregiver.  She has been  in the hospital for so long she has to be very, very weak. Will keep you informed if I learn more.

Well, I think that is good news... you know, some of these darned hospitals boot you out when the Medicare says, "no." Hope that is not the case for Jo-Ann. Tell her we're sending her well wishes.

I guess I messed up by not posting here the latest on Jo-Ann. She went home Friday and was bac k in the hospital on Sat in ICU with Congestive Heart Failure and is on a respirator. Not looking very good at all.

Monday evening. I just talked to Jodi and it is really touch and go at this point. J-A woke Jodi Sat morning saying she couldn't breathe. She called 911 and Jo-Ann actually did stop breathing when they got to the ER but they got her on the ventilator. I told her to tell her we were all praying for her. She is going to see her tonight when she gets the kids to bed, so she said she would tell her. So sad.

Wed am J-A still on ventilator and they will try again today to get her off. I don't understand the reasoning to get her off. Does it hurt to stay on the ventilator for awhile. Seems to me it would give her healing time without effort, but I really have no idea.

If they've managed to get rid of the fluid, then she should be able to breathe better, I think. But she is probably so weak from all the other stuff that has gone on... My guess would be that Jo-Ann wants to be off the darned thing... she is a stubborn one, you know. Thanks for the update, MK.

I haven't been on HealingWell in many months only to see the news about Jo-Ann. She is such a great lady and brave soul.  My thoughts and prayers are with her.

Jo-Ann is still fighting. Her daughter said she is terribly weak and will probably need care all the time. I can barely walk so I haven't been able to work out getting over to see her. I'll keep you up to date on her. MK

Jo-Ann is home and doing well. MK got to see her recently and said she looked much better than she had expected. Good to see a post from you!!! How are you doing?

I have been good. Still cancer free after almost 6 years. I know I don't come over here much. I try to forget I ever had this disease. But I am reminded of it every morning getting ready for work when I have to draw on eyebrows. My eyebrow hair never came back. I have a few but you can't even see them. I have been on generic Femara since April. I seem to be doing ok with it it just costs more than tamoxifen.
I come and lurk from time to time to see how people are doing.

Glad you are doing well. My eyebrows are not the same anymore, either. Have to pencil them in if I want them to look even. Good to hear from you!
