Red spots/rash on lymphedema arm

Last night when I took off my compression sleeve I saw I have red spots/rash on my lymphedema arm. Mostly on the inner arm below the elbow although there are some above the elbow also. It does feel a little warm. I thought maybe I didn't get all the soap out when I washed it last time, but it is still her this morning. I have to go bbsit the 2 grandsons in a little while for about 4 hours. I guess if I still have it after that I will see if I can get into my doctor, or go to a clinic if I have to.  Weird. Anyone have this before?

Thanks Bev. Yes it is warm and red and spreading, so I am on two different antibiotics and seeing my doctor today at 1:55pm . I hope this doesn't get any worse. It did not hurt before, but now it does ache.

I don't know what I did to start this....

Saw my doctor and he was NOT HAPPY! He said the dr at the ER should have at least taken a blood test, and maybe even given me antibiotics with an IV. I looks better today, but he said if it is not a lot better by tomorrow I am to come in (no appt needed) and see him. He said he would maybe put me on antibiotics with an IV for a few days. I assume he meant at home (I hope). He did say it wasn't the typical looking cellulitis. It looks like I have the measles all over my arm and it is red and warm also. Well, I hope tomorrow it is MUCH improved!

Hello! I am new to this site. I need some help. I got some red spots on my arm with lymphedema and I don't know how it started. Saw my primary doctor yesterday and requested some lab work done. Also saw my oncologist and requested an ultrasound done on the arm. The red spots started about 5 days ago and it is spreading up to my armpit. And it looks like measles to me. I will be traveling to Alaska on the 21st and I want to know if this is a big problem. Was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, went through mastectomy, chemo, radiation and a year on Herceptin. Three years later, in April of 2010, cancer came back and metastasized to liver and lungs. Was in chemo for one year, and last April. CT scan of pelvis, chest and abdomen showed no tumor. So doctor stop chemo treatment and now on Herceptin for maintenance.

The red spots slowly disappeared and as of today, my arm is back to normal. My lab work showed no infection and I haven't gotten the result yet for my ultrasound which was just done this afternoon. I am thinking whether my applying lotion on the
arm with a little pressure did it. The thing is my arm was not warm with the red spots. The ultrasound was requested to rule out blood clot. Will keep you posted once I get the result.

hi guys, i have lumps on my lymphdema leg...it is very sore? what doctor could i see in joburg? as i have just moved up here....please help
