Hi Sarah!
Welcome. I am new to this particular board and I am so impressed with all of the women and the wonderful support they give.
I agree with what you have been told so far. Just a couple of things I want to add. When you go for your next appt with your dr or surgeon, take another person with you. Have them write down the answers to your questions for you or operate the tape recorder. There is just too much information, as you discovered, to process by yourself. Plus, having the support of someone is very, very important.
My bil, who is an obgyn, referred me to a surgeon that is very well known and supposedly the best. WEll, I decided after waiting for over 2 hrs and being treated like I was an idiot once I saw him, that there was NO WAY he would ever touch me. I was told to just let him do the biopsy. I had an appt for a 2nd opinion. I felt that God led me to her. Guess what I am trying to say is find someone that you have complete confidence in. This is extremely important.
Also, remember to breathe. Seriously. You need to do this to help you relax.
Prayers and Hugs
