tomorrow i go for my pet scan. wish me luck. i had spots on my mri in the bone marrow, several they said. I had stage 2 breast cancer in nov. 2009, went thru chemo and radation and my lymp nodes were clear except for my sentinol node had small isolated clusters, not many, now only a year and a half later, now severe back pain and spots in bone marrow of my spine. could this be something else besides cancer

How did you pet scan go today? I've had spots in my bone marrow that they chose not to biopsy because they thought they were clottting. Just monitored, and they did eventually disappear. Hope it is nothing. How have your tumor markers looked? I've known women who had brca cells in their bone marrow. For the first few years, seemed like I was having to have tests for every little ache and pain. Not so much these days... fortunately, I'm just getting old! Let us know how it goes.
Hugs...

I was dx'ed with two types of invasive breast cancer almost 17 years ago. Yes, the spots in the marrow eventually went away. They could have been blood clots from trauma, is what I was told. I don't know. I have had chronic back pain since my reconstruction. I've had all kinds of tests for all kinds of aches and pains! And tests for things that showed up on tests that turned out to be all kinds of weird things... a "bone island" on my forearm, spontaneous rib fractures, arthritis, costachondritis, even shingles!, and on and on and on! Some of those things, I didn't even have symptoms for! LOL

Glad to see a post from you! How is chemo going for you? Do they have you on any aromatase inhibitors, since you were high Estrogen positive? What kind of chemo are you getting? Hope your white counts are up and you were able to get your treatment today.
Hugs...
