So here's a situation I haven't seen before...

Hi everyone.
I had a mastectomy on my right breast in July of 2009; breast was 50% involved with DCIS as well as invasive cancer.
Since then, mammograms have been clear, MRI in 2010 was clean; MRI last week...not so clear! I have several cysts, one being complex at 2.1 x 1.2 cm; a needle aspiration/biopsy is scheduled for 12/6.
Normally cysts aren't that big a deal; but a postmenopausal woman with a prior history of HRT and cancer....
Wondering if anyone has faced this one before, or heard about it.

Hi Bev...very much a surprise! New since the last mammogram in May; can't feel them; the large one is near the chest wall; very close to where I had one in 2002..I know this will sound stupid, but I'm not sure what that was..it may have been atypical hyperplasia. I remember my surgeon telling me it was abnormal, but not cancerous and we'll keep an eye on it. It was excised, and never had anything since..
