Dear Victory. You have every right to be concerned, and my concern is who is following you and coordinating your care! I happen to have a great family practice doc, but not everyone has that. Here is what I would do...and, obviously, insurance plays a role with referrals, etc. I would contact your FP and get in with a breast specialist...not a general surgeon, someone who knows all about breasts; in the meantime, be proactive; google certified breast surgeon, (your location) and see what pops up..start researching these people.
There can be all kinds of reasons for the symptoms you are having but I'm not a dr., and don't like the idea of supposition. It's Saturday, so today is a good day to start googling, but Monday morning, call your FP..if you don't need a referral, call the breast surgeon office direct...let them know what is going on; they will guide you and they will know about your insurance requirements too. Also on Monday, contact the radiology department; get copies of your films, all films (on a dvd), and copies of all reports...you may have to go there to sign a release, although some will allow you to fax these back and forth.
It is important for you to have all of the resources and information available to make sure you get the best care.
Please let me know how things are going for you...
