God bless you Barkyboys!!!!!!!!!!!! My heart goes out to you as I know my imagination ran wild for the last several weeks as well about
funerals and motherless kids! I am relieved to tell you that I got a benign result yesterday from my doctor's nurse as they knew I was worried like every women does when going through this....however, I am yet to talk to the doctor himself and will today...I have so many questions. Even though I dodged a bullet, I know that I have many more years to worry ahead of me and for my 9 yr daughter today esp knowing breast cancer statistics. I don't have any family (only a sister who is not close with me and a mom that is mentally disabled due to a car accident) so that it made it hard also! I hope they find a cure for breast cancer for all us women!
To the other lady who is going to have a stereotactic biopsy....just know that you are not alone....so many women will have to go through that. It was not bad. The only bad thing for me (and I got it done in 2 spots) is the laying on the table without moving for 1 1/2 hours or so while they poked and did what they needed to do. It's totally bearable though...the poking was NOT the bad part...that was waiting for the results.....which I was for sure had cancer. Take care of yourself......mentally prepare.....and imagine yourself somewhere wonderful! It will be over before you know it and it is LIFE SAVING PROCEDURE AS IF THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT IT AND THERE ARE MANY THINGS THEY CAN DO TODAY FOR CANCER.....look at the barkyboys who has been battling cancer, but has lived for many years to talk about it......those stories are very, very, very encouraing and I love to hear them! Thank you.
