Breast cancer metastasized to liver stage 4

My sister was diagnosed in May 2012 with breast cancer metastasized to liver stage 4.  WOW!!! Very scary.  She is on taxol once a week.  Any ideas or anyone with same situation??

Do you know how many liver tumors she has because if she only has 1 or 2 and they are not really big she can get the procedure where they stick a hot rod in the tumor or freeze the tumors. Have her ask her doctor. I think they did not do it on me because my cancer went to my bones also. Do not wait because I know a girl that had it done and it never came back. Also Cancer treatment centers of America does chemo right into the liver.

Hello Luckygirl! I mean what courage you have. I'm amazed by your strenght. My sister had breast cancer in 2000, was ok for 8 years, then she had metastases in her bones and lymph nodes, in 2009, and now progressing into her liver and bones. She has 2 kids (16 and 19), it's'such a tragedy. It's'hard to cope. I'm afraid she won't get any further treatments ( she told me) . She just had enough. I just don't know what to do and tell her to make her want to fight some more. Any advice? Thanks +++++ take care

Hi. I was diagnosed with breast cancer with bone and liver metastasis over 3 years ago. I had no previous diagnosis. I had chemo, etc, BUT, I also looked elsewhere -- at food testing,juicing, major nutrition changes especially organic, no refined sugar, no microwaves,supplements, vitamin c injections , visualisation, prayer . Throw everything at it, you have to find out for yourself, at least here in the UK. There is lots of info out there. Love, Medicine and Miracles book be Bernie Seigel was a great start for me. I have not felt so well for years.
No more treatments frees her to start healing .She can do it .

I agree with patsymc. Besides conventional look elsewhere. Take a look at the book, "Beating Cancer With Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin. It can be purchased on Amazon for $17. A nutritional approach is a must. "Sugar Feeds Cancer" is especially highlighted by Quillin. Starve the cancer is the approach this book takes.
