Hi all, just got back from weekly chemo and Dr. Visit.  Doc. found a new swollen node.  Cancer side, above collar bone.  Going for CT scan of neck and chest on Tuesday.   Just when things were going smoothly here.  This stuff never ends.  I will try not to obsess over this all weekend.  But, I believe this will mean a chemo change.  We didnt discuss the options yet.  I had my regular Navelbine today.  I have had such a good run on this chemo (14 months).  Please say a little prayer that there are no other hidden nodes that we havent found.

Vicky: Take a deep breath and consider that I have worried for you over this swollen node. I had the same thing happen about 3 mos ago. I am also on navelbine and herceptin. I freaked out although my onco and chemo nurses were very calm (which made me that much madder and more worried). It turned out to be nothing more than an infection in my throat (I didn't even have a sore throat). I was put on antibotic and it cleared up. Hopefully this will be what is wrong w/ you and nothing more. I hope that you can have a fun and relaxing weekend.

Hey Vicky,

I'm sorry to hear about your swollen node, but I'm with Deb that it could very well be from a throat infection. There seems to be some kind of throat thing going around my DS's baseball team here in Lafayette. Plus, if you have any allergies, nodes are very often swollen. Let's not worry too much until there's a real need! (I can't believe I just said that - my DH calls me "worst case scenario Laure' all the time) LOL.

Hang in there, and we're here for you if you need anything at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just yell!!!!!

Oh let's hope and pray that it is a infection causing the swollen node. That would be wonderful. Prayers are with you Vicky. Hugs MK

Easy for the Onc to say, Laure. I'm with you. I've always looked at the worst and then would be pleasantly surprised if whatever was OK. I'm trying to change my attitude.
Vicky, You have my prayers that it is just a small infection.

Well I guess we are back rooting for the pork chop bone. I sure hope you get a very nice surprise. Your in my prayers for a tiny infection. L&H Joyce

I hear that pork chop bones are easier to treat than infections, so I am rooting for a pcb too.

Seriously, hoping this is just nothing other than a little scare and all will be well again-

Boy, how nice to see Deb's first reply.  I was worried and worried for you, not thinking of a simple infection.  I hope it's given you some relief, hearing her experience.  I'm praying for you here, hun.  I look so forward to meeting you in two weeks!
