Well ladies all is well. The gyn didn't find the lump! I am SO relieved! Happy dancing lasted only so long since we talked about the hyst. He said with tamoxifen I should have a uterine biopsy every 6 months or since I already had issues with a cervical fibroid we could just do the hyst. I am opting for the latter. Why bother keeping it when getting rid of the ovaries will only be a benefit. They are supposed to contact me for scheduling the surgery. It will be an abdominal assisted complete vaginal hyst. Which means they do lapro with only smlall incisions unless there are complications.
But I need some input on bladder/bowel issues. I mentioned to him that I am having more and more trouble with incontinence when sneezing, coughing, laughing. And he did a check during the exam. He said I have a "bulge" both from the bladder area and the bowel. He asked if I had any bowel issues and I said no. Later I realized that maybe the problem I've been having holding gas could be related. (Not fun with kids around who do that for laughs!) Anyhow he said we could do a repair with a sling now or wait until it gets worse. Since from his experience it sometimes gets worse and to redo the repair is sometimes not as effective with scar tissue. I'm saying "I don't want to wait for it to get WORSE!" Who would? Also, do any of you know anything about the bowel issue? Can they repair that at the same time? I didn't ask him because I didn't make the connection until later. Should I consult a urologist? A gastroentestinal specialist?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And thank for all your support during my time of need! You are the best breast friends!
