hello,
my mother was diagnosed with Infiltrating duct carcinoma grade 3 in 2007...She underwent surgery(lumpectomy) and radiation therapy. Everything was going well until this year, 2 weeks ago my mother experienced sudden pain with noticeable swelling which is hard to touch and slight redness. Doctor prescribed Bilateral USG whose findngs are as follows:
A 13 mm sized hyperechoic heterogenous lesion is seen in the upper outer quadrant of right breast adjacent to the surgical scar .No significant vascularity on colour or power doppler .
Left breasts show normal parenchymal echotexture. No evidence of any focal or diffuse lesion is seen.
No evidence of dilated ducts, abnormal skin thickening or axillary lymphadenopathy is seen
Impression :-
Imaging (sonography) findings of hyperechoic mass showing heterogenous echotexture , post RT- described in ILC / angiosarcoma.
i am really worried what this means...!! doctors have advised biopsy...waitin for it from past 10 days.. :(
