Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can.

I will be seeing a plastic surgeon on Wed. to see about having my good breast reduced to match the other side. Is there anything that I should be asking.
Will they biopsy the tissue that they remove from the breast? I had a core biopsy done on this breast the day I had the lumpectomy done and all was fine.

Happy Halloween to you, too! I'm sorry I don't know the answers to your questions, but I would say they will be the ones to ask that surgeon. Hope he is a good one. Plastic surgeons are really artists, too. They can be quite interesting. Hugs MK

Thank you for the well wishes. I'm a little nervous and was just wondering. It not set in stone yet I'm just checking it all out. There is a big difference in size and I would be more comfortable with it done but it won't be the end of the world if does not work out.
The plastic surgeon that I will be seeing is a woman and I like the idea of that. After being felt up by almost every male Dr. in our town when I was dx it will be nice to have a woman. She says that she enjoys this out of all that she does. I'm not looking for perfect just enough to make me more comfortable.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I like everyone else, don't know the answers to your questions. But, I do hope all goes as you want it too. I also, if it were me prefer a woman plastic surgeon. I think I would be more comfortable. I will keep you in my prayers, May God Bless

Hi Donna

My plastic surgeons (3 different ones) have always sent my tissue in for biopsy, not sure if it's standard procedure or not though. Good luck!

Sending you hugs for you appointment today. Ask if they have comparative pictures Im sure they do that will give you a better idea of what to expect. Keep us posted.

Thank you every one for all your good thoughts.
I saw Plastic surgeon today and it went very well. She said that with all she saw she does not see a problem with my insurance company. It will take 4 to 6 weeks to hear back from the ins. co. and then we can set a date then. I did get to see some pictures I don't want things perfect just more the same size. Hard to but bras with one side to big and the other to small.I just don't want to get my hope up and then have them shot down. So I guess I wait again.
I have not heard back about my blood work hopeing in the morning, I hate this waiting and waiting. I get so sick to my stomach. I have a rotten cold that I have been trying for two weeks to get rid of. So I am just a little cranky.
I forgot to ask the dr. if there is any problem doing this while on Herceptin. Does any one know.
I am so tired I am going to bed will pop in tomorrow to see if everyone is doing well.

Hello,
I got the results from my blood work and every thing was as it should be. This is such a relief. This is so hard every three months.
I hope every one is doing well. I still have this darn cold and can barely talk. Not that my husband thinks that is so bad.

Im glad your appointment went well and that your bloodwork was good. Is that what I will have to do when Im done with my treatments. I thought that the pictures would be a good idea. Sorry about your cold, I had one for over a month it was very hard. I had my first dose of Taxol on Tuesday and Iam more tired than I have ever been. I also hurt all over but not bad. I have been working every day and it is so hard to make it through the day. Other than that life is good.

Do you mean the blood work, if it is yes you will, I see my onc. every 3 months and he does blood work and checks for tumor markers. Its hard waiting until you hear back but they are really good and call as soon as they get them. Are you finding the Taxol easier, I had a lot of bone pain but no nausea at all.
I hurt all over with this darn cold it seems like it will go on for ever. This past week at work was so hard I fell a sleep really early every night. Its the darn cough that is getting me as far as my voice I don't mind not talking to much. Now I think my 7 year old grandson Kyle is catching it. We are a really close family though and so I see the grandkids every day. That was really a God send when I was doing chemo. If I was laying down and resting they would climb up and cuddle with me. Both of my daughters live with in walking distance. My oldest grandson drew our Christmas cards for this year and they have pink ribbons on it.
Stay well and keep going it makes it easier to get through all of this.

Yes I meant the bloodwork, I was hoping when I was done that I would not have to go back for awhile oh well I will make it. Im so sorry you are still suffering with the cold and cough. The cough was the worst for me too. It kept me up half the night. My stomach muscles ached from all of the coughing. My Dr put me on Z pac and then Levequin I also took steroids during that time. The Levequin helped the most I had 2 cycles of it. I have been so tired this last week after my first dose of Taxol and my body has had aches too. I hope Im not tired every week because we are in our busy season at work and I have been working lots of hours. By the time I get home Im dead tired, I have gone to bed at 9 every night.

I am so jealous that you have grandkids!!!! I still dont have any but maybe someday my oldest will be 27 next month and my youngest is almost 21. I cant wait to have ababy to snuggle with.

I know it stinks having go every 3 months but I am really glad I do. It helps me from getting hyper over everything.
My cold is refusing to go away, I still can't talk very well and I am still coughing but the cough has changed and it feels like I need to cough something up but it just won't happen. I am starting to get a little cranky.
I'm sorry I sometimes forget as I brag on about my wonderful grankids that thier are people out there longing to have some.
Its good that you can go to bed early if you need to. Rest as much as you can. Soak in a hot tub, I was doing that all the time. It always felt so good. In fact its not sounding to bad right now.
I think I am going to go get ready for bed the days feel like they are so long right now at work with this cold.
Rest and take care of yourself.

Dont ever feel bad about bragging on the grand kids....I cant wait to do the same. Has your Dr gave you anything for the cough, if not ask for Levequin I did very well on it. I can understand about the cough I thought it would never go away.
I had my 2nd dose of Taxol yesterday and so far I feel great but tomarrow is when it usually hits. I really have not had a hard time so far with it except for being so tired no nausea at all. I didnt even take any of my pills. I will keep you posted on my progress 2 down 6 to go.
