Bra help needed

Wow..you got through your AC in no time! Unfortunately, my treatments are 3 weeks apart...so it'll take longer. Good luck with the Taxol - please post as to how it's different from the AC for you. I'm very interested in knowing if its easier/harder. I do actually have a response to your original question..its just taking me a while to get to it....
In my local newspaper this weekend there was an article about a company called "titbits" which makes knitted breasts. They are supposed to be very comfortable and lightweight. I dont know if they would be able to help you,as they are designed for mastectomy patients, but they have a website... www.titbits.ca . Hope it helps.

BTW, do you still have to get the nuepogen shot for taxol?

I also had a lumpectomy and now have two different size breast. I found some sports bras that are made like a regular bra ( not the pull over ones ) and the sports bra just squishs the bigger breast. This has worked very well for me. They even have them in different colors. Not real sexy but it works.
I am seeing a plastic surgeon early in Nov. to see about having the larger breast reduced.
Wow I can't believe you are done with the a/c it seems like I just read that you were starting. Did you do 4 a/c?I did 4 a/c and 4 taxol. The taxol went well for me alot of joint pain but meds took care of that. I found it to be easier then a/c. I had problems with my crohns with both treatments but the treatments were not as bad as the a/c.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and help. I really hate the way my breasts look now, at first they looked the same but now my right one is deformed. I will have to try some of the options you have suggested.

no I wont need the Nuelasta or Neupogen shots with the Taxol. I will keep you posted as to how different the Taxol is. I have my first one on Tuesday. Everyone says it is easier I hope so.

before my surgery my right breast was already smaller too so this really did a number on it. I like the idea of a padded bra because it wont loose its shape. My bras now look so funny they have a big crease on the right side......and fine on the left.

Yes Im done with my AC treatments I actually had one treatment of TAC Taxotere, adriamycn and cytoxen but the taxotere made me terribly sick so my other three treatments were just AC. Iam scheduled for 8 Taxol treatments Im not sure why 8 most people have 4. So you did much better with the Taxol, Im praying that it will be kind to me Im tired of being sick.

Hmmm this is interesting.... My cocktail is 4AC, 3 weeks apart, and 4 T also 3 weeks apart. I'm kinda concerned...I wanted to be as aggressive as possible about treatment, and now I'm worried that my schedule is not doing that. Would it be because I was node negative?? I always thought that 4 AC and 4T was the "regular" schedule. Thoughts?

I started out with my treatments 3 weeks apart until they took out the Taxotere and then she made them every other week. I was originally scheduled for 6 treatments of TAC so Im not sure why she went to 4 treatments after the Taxotere was gone. I guess I should ask her on Tues. I guess it is all what the Dr thinks will do the best job, I too asked for her to be as aggresive as possible I want this gone and I dont ever what to do these treatments again.

How is the hair?? Is it all gone now? and is the wig doing okay?

Judy I was the one with one positive node out of three. I wish that they would have taken more to get a better idea if it had spread. 3 dosnt seem like a lot to look at. Judy were you the one with spots on your lungs too?

Bernadette, I did have three tiny spots on my lung that were still there 6 months later. According to my med onc, who first saw them, and my rad onc, who saw them on the repeat 6 months later, the spots were probably a fungus that is often seen on the lungs of people here in the deep South. I sure hope they are right. For now my concern is the "headache" I have been having for the past month. It is like I bumped my head really hard and it hurts. I see my surgeon Thursday for a 10 mo checkup and mammogram. I will ask her but I refuse to go back to my med and rad onc. Am cancelling an appointment with med onc on Wednesday.

Nope - I've still got my eyelashes - I'm gonna miss them too if they go. My little girl is the joy of my life. She is so happy - squealling all the time, little chubby arms and legs going 90 miles an hour, and great big beautiful smiles. We've now started her on pablum - What a mess!! But she is the one thing that always brings a smile to my face. I dont know how I would get through this without her!
