Anyone have issues from the breast marker clip left behind after a biopsy? I am getting a biopsy in a few days and I am not very excited about the clip. I have heard they can cause residual pain in the breast.

Anyone? I quite petite, 100 pounds and an A cup. I was given the option to get it or not.

I have one and have never felt anything from it. I didn't have the option that I remember but I like knowing exactly where they biopsied. I can see it myself when I see my films or the do an ultrasound.

Thanks Sher! Very helpful to hear this. Feeling better about the whole thing hearing from a few people that it isn't causing pain or other problems. It seems like the smarter way to go for the most part but counterintuitive at the same time. A piece of metal in delicate breast tissue… I'm sure an immune response and inflammation occur but I suppose it all settles down and heals up.

I have a couple of auto immune diseases and this didn't seem to cause me any problems. Now that isn't to say you won't be sore afterwards. My biopsy went pretty deep so I was sore awhile but nothing earth shattering. Good luck!!
