Hello everyone, I've missed you. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanauka, and Feliz everything else! I am in great spirits this season, so much so, I have made up with my family. Surprise, surprise. My house is decorated -- this is so different from the past 2 Christmas' when I was recovering from broken ribs and collarbone from auto accident and then the dreaded Christmas 2004 when I had my mastectomy on 12-21.

For all newbies, welcome and sorry that you have to be here. These are great women who have a lot of information for you and me. And to all the vetrans, thank you for everything you have done for me. You helped immeasurably in making this disease and treatment tolerable.

Love and hugs to everyone this Holiday Season.

I'm glad you're back and feeling so good.  That's wonderful.  I, too, am enjoying this Christmas more than last year.  I put up my decorations a couple of weeks ago.  That's great that you made up with your family.  Family is SO important.  Good for you!!!

I was worrying about you and Skeeter & Donna I had not seen you post in awhile. I had grown very close to the 2 of you and then BAM you were gone. Happy holidays to you too, don't be such a stranger.

Say Guys ...Skeeter... has been doing great too...So sorry I haven't posted lately not cause I don't think of you all, I have been very busy since the first of Oct.

I started back to work full time 12hr shifts. I have been able to do it but on my days off I try to rest and relax so I can keep up my schedule. I have been amazed at how well I am doing.

 I too have decorated my house. I still have alittle bit more to do yikes guess I better get it done today or xmas will be here before I know it. I have always loved xmas and this year is no different.

So next week will be kinda hard for me cause I work every third weekend, that makes a lot of hours in one week (60 hours to be exact) so next week is my 60 hour week..I get very tired every three weeks when I put in so many hours but have more time off the other two weeks and able to recoop ok then.

 I don't know if I ever told you but I work in a hospital on the surgical floor. I had another nurse tell me that she thinks maybe I got breast cancer cause I am strong enough to handle it and now I am able to help the patients on our unit more then anyone else. Which I think is true. The girls always come up to me and ask me if I want to talk with their patients about chemo surg ect even though they don't always have breast cancer I do have some common factors with them and seem to be able to add alittle bit to their care and help them understand what is going on with them. Each time I do that it makes me feel good and that I am giving back alittle to them.

 uumm.. so I know I have been rambling...sorry... I do read the messages on the board.. almost every day sorry I don't write back much. I hope everyone has a merry xmas and happy holidays and wish you all the best for the year to come. I will try and be better and post more often ok... skeeter1

So glad to hear from you I was worried about you. I did not know that you worked in a hospital, that is great that you can help out the patients with your knowledge. I think all of us come out of this with a need to help others. I would love to be able to help more people and help them through this. I remeber when I was first diagnosed and how many questions I had, I swear if I had not had this site I would not have done so well with this. I dont know how you can make it through 12 hour shifts I do fine for 8 most of the time but 12 would kill me.

Glad to know that you have your decorating done I have not even started. I will put the tree up this weekend, with my hubbies accident I have been over worked. I have to do everything so I get a little overwhelmed.

Holiday decorations are overwhelming in themselves, so can only imagine how having to do everything since hubby isn't able to must be very hard. I do get tired. I have been doing xmas shopping along with work and decorating ect and last sat I was so tired I think I slept most the day.

I know what you mean about this site. I too leaned on everyone here and can't tell everyone how much it helped me there just aren't enough words to express it. There are some wonderful people here and so glad I found you all.

Next week will be a busy week its my 60 hour week and gonna throw in traveling on the weekend too so sure I will need a whole day of sleep afterwards. I have always thrived with being around people and being busy so I know I will be tired but I keep my spirits up with all the activity.

I finally got everything up for the holidays. Kinda dreading taking it down ......yikes.... well you have a great holiday!! Got to jet to start my day so much to do and so little time to do it in...skeeter1

I really don't know how you do it, and to think you have to work 60 hours next week!!! I would be dead on my feet. My last chemo for some reason really has knocked my socks off, I ache so bad that I have been unable to sleep or work the last 2 days. I am on the downhill stretch though, 3 more to go and then a little break. On Thurs I finally took one of my hubbys morphine tablets and I finally fell asleep after 4:30 am. I get up at 5:30 so work was out of the question.

I have really appreciated your friendship in the last 5 months, along with all of the ladies on this site like I said before I don't know where I would be without all of my breast buddies. I wish a special blessing on all of you through the holiday season.
