Mikki and friends..thanks to all of you for being with me on Monday for my

test results.

Well, the chest, lungs, liver and abdomen are stable..no changes.

The pelvis is another matter. Tons of new lesions on the whole

pelvis area. The tumors on my spine and pelvis and the

herniated disc are causing all the pain. Steps are difficult.

She increased the oxycontin.

I will be starting Gemzar on March 6th..a week after I get back from my vacation. Dr wanted me to start next week, but I refused. So I will

have the Gemzar every week for 3 weeks then a week off. She is hoping

I wont have a problem like I did last spring. I ended up in the hospital

4 times. sad

Cathi: Big hugs to you my friend. I was hoping that the news you received was as good as mine. I, along w/ many others, will be praying that your body will be able to handle the Gemzar better this time and that it will do its job. Have a great time on vacation. Get well rested and come back ready to fight this darn disease again.We will all be w/ you.

I hope you can tolerate the Gesmar better, Cathi.  You are one of the strongest women I know.  I hope your pain becomes more manageable, too.  I pray for you every day.

Dear Cathi, I was also hoping things would remain stable. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. You've been walking this road for a long time and all of us have been beside you. I will pray that the Gemzar is easier this time. You're the toughest fighter I could ever know. I don't blame you for wanting a rest before resuming the battle. Even in wartime, every soldier deserves some r&r.

Oh Cathi. You go have a wonderful vacation and try to enjoy every minute. It sounds to me like you have to be in terrible pain. I wish there was something I could do to help. Life is not easy nor fair, you have been so strong fighting this miserable disease and we all admire your strength and determination. Hugs, prayers and wishes for a great vacation. MK

Thanks for letting us know.  I pray that your vacation is fun and peaceful for you.  I will have you in my prayers for tolerance on the drug and a speedy improvement in health.

I certainly wish the news had been better, but I will be praying that the new drugs do the trick and help ease your pain.

Ditto to what the others said...I am sorry the bones are giving you such grief, but I am relieved that the soft tissue organs remain clean and clear! I hope that the doctor gets all the right drug combinations this time and all goes well. Enjoy your vacation!

Cathi,

I was sure praying that you would get much better results from your tests.  Life just isn't fair,is it sweetie?

Sure  hope that your vacation takes you where you can just kick back and relax and enjoy  yourself.  Hopefully, the pain meds will help ease your pain so you CAN enjoy the time you have away.

When you come back............give it all you got (I know that you will, you are a fighter!) to get rid of the cells that are causing you pain and grief.  You are just too nice of a lady to have to be dealing with all of this!!!!!!!!
