Can a biopsy cause scar tissue?

After a biopsy is there scar tissue inside where the needle and tube went in?

I’m not sure. There very well could be. There is often quite a lot of trauma involved with a needle biopsy. How long has it been?

At least a month. I am now going in for an Breast MRI and after that scheduled for a Lumpectomy and then five years of Tamoxifen. It is amazing how treatment has advanced. The surgeon said he would be able to keep most of my breast.
Currently I am reading Dr Susan Love's Breast Book. Lots of good information there. The surgeon suggested it so I could determine what type of surgery I want.

I am finding problems with the small hospital I am going to use. First they took a week to get the results of my breast MRI. I had to go to their dept and get a copy and have one sent to my surgeon. Wonder why their office didnt follow up on the test. Apparently the tech didn't do it right and there was no results. I am so disappointed. Monday I have an appt with my surgeon. If he doesn't give me a good explanation I am firing him and go back to my oncologist to find a different surgeon. On 6/28 I had the biopsy. This way to slow.

That is ridiculous what they did. Are you saying you now need a 2nd MRI? Are you limited to one hospital only in your area? I don't know, I would have to consider some better options than what you currently are dealing with. I am sorry that this has happened to you.

My biopsy was 6/28 and was 11mm. The end of July it was just about the same size. Fortunately, I am 65 years old and my hormone receptive tumor grows slower. Is this time frame good? I figure surgery should be the end of August.
