I read your post in our thread of mourning...thank you so much for posting. It is always wonderful when a loved one comes back to reach out to us under the screen name of our departed...it makes us think they have come back to talk to us one more time!

Your post brought a tear to my eye...it was so warm and heartfelt. I can imagine your grief and hope you are there to help Kalia remember her mother. SHelley was a brave gal...I knew here from the beginning days with her battle and our chat room adventures....she always told us about you and the joy you brought her too. I hear she took a lot of amazing preparations to give motherly love to Kalia for years to come, and it points to her beauty and strength.

We lost another good one....she is missed by us already.

I appreciate your kind words!!

I know Shelley is watching from above.  She was my guardian angel here on earth so I know she is there for me even now.  :)

P.s.  I didn't know "gorgonshead" was her screen name!!  That was the name of our "imaginary" band we made up when we were young...so I thought it was fitting to use it as a screen name.  I guess she and I will always "share a brain".

Her other screen name originally was "Shacoonie"...which I think had some funny story as well.....

Hi Katie..

Shelley told us so much about you and all the funny crazy things the 2 of you did.
She told us what an incredible friend you were and how much she loved you.
It was a comfort to know that she had such a special friend. Please keep us
posted on how Kalia is doing..it breaks my heart that she has lost her Mother, but
it is comforting that you will be there for her & to tell her all about her.

Katie, what a wonderful surprise to see Shells name.  Shells was blessed to have you as her close friend. She loved to tell little stories of the fun you two had.  Thank God you will be there to explain the funny pictures to Kalia when she is older... she will know what a treasure her mother was.

Everyone should have "a Katie".

Hi Katie, I know I never met you, I just wish I had. You must be a very special person to be loved so much by Shelley. Shelley talked about you so much I feel I know you . Your friendship was a very special thing. The stories about the pizza pajama parties and so many things that you both shared, I never knew if I would be laughing or crying when she started telling me what you both were up to. I will always be grateful that she had you in her life. I wish we all could have a Katie in our lives. What a wonderful world this might be. L&H Joyce

Hi Katie, I have a picture Shelley sent me of the two of you in NYC! It looked like you were having a wonderful time. Shelley was a beautiful young woman inside and out and I am sure your friendship helped develop that beauty, just as hers for you helped develop yours. It has to be terribly, terribly hard to lose such a close friend so early in life. I know you feel her closeness even now. Hold her memory tight. Big heartfelt hugs, Mary K.

Hi Ladies,

I find myself coming back to this board....re-reading old posts of Shell's...finding comfort in the words of love and support you gave to her when she needed it....as major events come up in my life, of course, the loss seems greatest...my birthday is coming up in a few days....she and I always made such a production of birthdays (our b-days are exactly 6 mos apart). LOL. A few weeks ago, I visited with Kalia...I see so much Shelley in her....she sure loves getting her picture taken like Shelley and I did!! She is such a smart beautiful little girl....

I continue to miss Shel on an hourly basis....so many dorky things that happen throughout the day that I want to share with her...

Thanks again for your kind words to ME and all the love you gave my Shelley!! She meant the world to me...it's so wonderful to be reminded how much I meant to her too!!
