Hi All

 

I just got the call from the Dr and my biopsy came back negative.............YAHOO. I feel a great relief, but I have a different disease called Sarcoid. I have read alot about this because that is what they had thought earlier that it could be. The disease can be dormant for years or can give you lots of trouble. Hopefully I can be the dormant one. I feel a great relief but am worried about the new disease.

 

As for my pains from the surgery, I had three other surgeries and this one has caused the most pain. My throat is raw and my neck feels like I will rip the stitches out if I move. So Im walking around with a stiff neck. Anyway enough complaining.

Bernadette: Congrats on the news that it isn't cancer! I know how relieved you are. I don't know anything about the other disease but I pray that it will remain dormant for you.

Just keep that neck still and continue to take it easy. By this time next week this will all be nothing more than a memory.

WOW, so no mets? This is the best news we've heard in a long time! What a wonderful relief! So glad to hear it....rest up and take it easy so you heal....sorry it was hard on you....

WOOOHOOOO!!!!! I am so relieved that it is not bc in your lungs. I don't know about sarcoidosis, but will find out now. I hope it will stay dormant and this will be the last scare you have ever!!!

SOrry to hear about your stiff neck. Hopefully you'll be able to move it a bit so you don't get really sore neck in the spinal part! Warm compresses might help and a helpful massage!

Hang in there, you're are doing great and are really an inspiration to me!

Thanks everyone for the posts, I really appreciate the love and support I get here. I have to admit I'm really surprised that is was not cancer, I don't mean to be negative but I just had worked myself up to accept another battle on my hands.

Bernadette, saw your post last night but was too tired to reply. I am so happy that results are negative for lung mets.  I believe you can tackle just about anything after this scare -- you're one tough lady.  Best wishes and continuing with prayers for you.

Oh Bernadette, I am so happy that your diagnosis is not mets!!!! I cant even imagine what you've gone through. I hope that you and your husband will celebrate once you are again back on your feet! Take it easy and take care.

Hooray! I'm so happy to hear the news Bernadette! I don't know about you but I think having to do another round of chemo, surgery, rads etc seems overwhelming, and though you still have some medical issues I believe this is really wonderful news.

Spring signals a new beginning - I'm hoping that you'll feel better soon and enjoy all that it has to offer.

Oh I am so happy for you :-) . I know a big weight has been lifted off your shoulders. I hope this other medical problem will be something manageable.
