   Well, I am 24 as of 2 days ago and just found out that the first biopsy

of what should be just a normal cyst in a large breasted young lady is turnning out to be a complex cyst that is going to be core biopsied on the 26th of this month. Now from what i can tell and from my last experience with this biopsy thing. I have every right to be more scared than I was before the first biopsy due to bigger badder needles and actual drugs to relax and mellow the body to make it all go smoother this time around....

   I guess I am just having a hard time wrapping my mind around the whole idea and possibilty of what could possibly be, but is not yet a reality.

Anyway, thanks for *listening* to me.

QB - It is hard not to get worked up over situations like the one you are in. Try to stay strong. You are in my prayers. Let us know what you find out.

P.S. Do you have a good support system?

Are they saying they're doing a core biopsy or a fine needle aspiration?  From what I understand, they FNA a cyst, and core biopsy a solid lump.  I was told I had a complex cyst w/"junk" inside it, and when I went for the FNA they discovered it was not a cyst but a mass.  So they switched to a core biopsy instead (during the procedure I might add--I got poked a lot that day).  Thankfully mine came back benign, however I still want to have it removed if it is still there in a couple more months.  (I would've had it removed awhile ago but had to have semi-emergent surgery for something else...sigh)

Core biopsy and i am down to two days before i go in and i am just scared outta my head because the first was supposed to aspirate it and they couldn't get a darn thing out of it, but in or to catch it to discover it was a solid mass they did stab around in there repeatedly hence my unease about going through this core biopsy in two days regaurdless if they plan on giving me drugs or not. What's worse is I am considered the strong oldest child, tomboy, nothing bothers me and now that i am in this little predicament with absolutely no control over what is going on i am losing it in a most "gracefull" way. Part of me is ready to break down under the preasure and just ****ing collapse and the other part of me won't even allow the word scared into my vocabulary.  Kind of like split personalities i guess... jesus... does this mean i am nuts too, HA!
