Seven years and counting!!!

Well gals, seven years ago today I sat in my house crying myself to sleep after receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer.

"It's cancer. You'll need more surgery and you may lose your breast. We don't know anything else. We'll see you in a week with the pathology results."

Well ok, not so dramatic...but with a compassionate and supportive way, I was told my life was about to change.

What a long strange trip it's been! How lucky I am to be where I am...and thank you all for traveling these past 7 years with me!

You have been such a help to me here....Im glad I get to be the first to send my best wishes and to tell you how happy I am that you are here for me.....

What an incredible journey we have traveled together, Lori. You were less than a year into survival when I joined iVillage in early 2000. We have had some wonderful experiences. Glad we are still here trucking along. Congratulations, my friend. Hugs, Lauri
