I am just sick. I really hate to hear this. You name the place and the time and PCE will be there. Hope it helps knowing when you face this, you have a whole bunch of us to share a good cry, or more my style, scream about how this sooooo stinks. Hi Everyone

Thanks so much for all of your posts, and please excuse me for not posting as much. I think im still in a bit of shock. I dont really know what to say. I wish I had more news to tell but Im still waiting on news. Im waiting for the PS to get back to me on a date for the mast, I will have that 2 weeks before the tram. Im getting a little irritated with all of the waiting. I just want it gone. So far there is no talk of other treatment so Im hoping the mast will do it.

Will post more when I know more.

Its an imaginary pink airplane that we all get on to be with anyone who needs us. We all dress up in pink too. I know it sounds funny but it really does make you feel better thinking about all of those people being with you. Everyone here is so supportive, and they would all be in the operating room if they could.

Thanks Bernadette! I'll be on that PCE tomorrow to be with you at the surgeon's appointment! Good luck. If you have your surgery next Wednesday, we will be "under" together. That is the day I'm having my tram. It's been 3 yrs 4 mos since my mast.

Hi everyone

I have had the most trouble in the world trying to get this surgery scheduled. The original Plastic surgeon that I had chosen is now out of the running. I had an appointment with the surgeon on Wednesday to get her side of the ball rolling. I explained to her all of the trouble I have had trying to get the PS office scheduled, she said she would do whatever it takes to get me in ASAP. She even called me at work the next day to see if I had gotten anywhere with his office!!! To try and make this VERY long story shorter, her office called the PS office and they said I needed to see hime one more time before surgery. That was not the worst of it, his first openeing is Feb 14th!! I asked if we could just schedule the surgery as close to that day as possible and they said NO, I dould not schedule the surgery until after the appointment. I had smoke coming out of my ears. And to make it even worse they said that they could not put me on a waiting list. That was the last straw. I asked the surgeon if she had someone else she would like to work with and she does. It looks like it won't be until March 7th but I don't care. I would not give my business to the other DRs office if he was the only Dr left! I feel for the Dr because I think it his staff that sucks. Iam composing a long letter to him to let him know how I feel about the way I have been treated. I started this process with their office in November, you would think it would not have to take so long to schedule a surgery. Anyway now that my blood pressure is creeping up again I need to get off this subject. I will have 2 female Drs to do the surgery and The new Dr does immediate reconstruction which is what I wanted all along. I have an appointment with her on Thursday and they have me on a waiting list for any sooner days for the surgery.
Sorry for all of the complaints but I just had to vent.

I feel so bad for you. This whole experience is stressful enough without all the run-around. I will be thinking peaceful thoughts and praying for you that there comes an opening sooner than March 7th so that you can get this all over and done with. I agree with Kathy that this must be happening for a reason. Maybe this is a way better plastic surgeon than the other one. Good luck to you!

The waiting game, huh? This may be a dumb question, but couldn't the cancer be spreading while you're waiting? I pray that everything goes well for you.
