Biospy done today on my daughter

"shows cancer consistent with earlier breast cancer."  Next comes her bone scan and then meeting with the oncologist to determine course of treatment.  She is really frightened about the bone scan, it is scheduled for Friday but she was trying to get it moved up to Wednesday today.  I need to call and see if she was able to.   I will let you know about those test results as soon as I hear.

My husband had his Upper GI Endoscopy today and the finding were Celiac Sprue disease which is consistent with his anemia and another dermatitis problem he has had for years.  They all go together and it looks like he will need to live on a gluten free diet at least until things get better controlled.  Dr took some biopsies there, too, and told him when results come back they would decide what to do, probably next week.

Me?  I am sad for Carolyn and glad for Chuck that it is something that can be dealt with.  And I still wish I could take her place...........................

Oh, MK..I wish I had the words to help you right now, this must feel like a bad dream...remember your strength and hers too, it will take you far. Time to muster the troops again, you can do this! We'll help you through this...all the support you have given others, let us give back to you now.

Remember whatever it is that helped you before, and draw upon that experience. I'll be chanting the mantra for negative bone scan.

I will have your DD in my prayers.  I hope the fear settles down a little and she can get some peace.  You too.

Dear MK...I am so sorry that you and Carolyn are dealing with this beast again. I hope the bone scan goes well. Based on the weather forecast and the already-heavy snowfall here, I kind of hope they don't get the thing rescheduled...although I know they will make it, no matter what, if they do get it rescheduled.

Chuck's news is good. As our old friend JoAnn would say..."It's a good omen, don't you think?"

MK: I am so sorry to hear that Carolyn had a positive biopsy. It sounds like the report that I got when I had the recurrance. I know that you are hurting and we all wish that we could carry some of that pain for you. But you know that you have all of us to draw your strength from and lady, you had better do it! Just try and think of all of us that have beat this disease for a 2nd or 3rd or even 4th time. Think of the positive outcomes. That will help both of you.

Glad to hear that your dh's prognosis can be controlled by diet. Hope that the biopsys are negative.
