Good luck tomorrow in surgery!  I'm sure you will feel a great sense of relief to finally have this part over with.  Post when you can.  I will be thinking of you and sending lots of pink feathers your way.  I'll throw them out the PCE window!  LOL

I got caught asleep at the stick. Geez good thing PCE was fueled and ready. Cleared for take off, good thing its today or I might have gotten snowed in. Everyone be ready as I buzz by to pick all you ladies in pink up. Think I better give Kathy a set of special pink keys incase I am not home and someone needs PCE. Hope we bring luck. Hugs Joyce

I'm with you all! Good luck in surgery, Bern!! You'll be doing great in no time! It's really not that hard of a surgery physically!!! Hang in there!!

Hi Everyone

Im home and doing good so far. I really don't have much pain and Im really surprised. I have not taken anything since midnight. Im getting ready to take a nap and I think I will take one pill so I don't wake up hurting. The mast went great (at least that is what the Dr says) I have to admit that it looks AWFUL. It is strange to have absolutly nothing left there. I have had pain where they did the delay procedure for the tram. The Dr said he had to make a little longer insisions than he had expected to due to my scar tissue from c-section and hysterectomy. I have been awake since 5am and still Im not tired...I don't know why but Im just wide awake.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and pink feathers, the Drs and nurses got a kick out of them. Will write more later.

PS I only have one drain and so far so good it dosn't hurt, it will be in for a week.

I'm so glad it went well and you sound great!  Do you have 2 incisions for the delay procedure?  My left one was sore and swollen for several weeks after.  Yes, it is strange not to have anything there.  I remember I would always put my hand there, particularly when lying in bed.  But, in 2 weeks, you will have a new one! 

 

Take it easy and try to rest.

I'm so glad everything seemed to go well. Just rest, don't try to do anything strenuos (sp?).

Im really taking it easy, well as easy as I can or me. I have been walking with my husband several times a day. We take the dogs out and he takes the leashes and I just walk. He went back to work on Friday and I took them out by myself and it was okay.

Kathy, did you find yourself scratching an itch where there was no breast anymore?? I have had an itch that feels like it did when I still had a nipple but there is nothing there now. I had to laugh about something else that had happened, I had splashed water on my glasses and took them off and started to rub them on my breast (old habit) I told my hubby and we both got a kick out of it.

Katt how are you doing? are you feeling good and back to all of your activities again? How about your hair, is it finally grown out again? Mine is about 5 or 6 inches and still curly on the bottom, not so curly on the new hair coming in.

I'm glad you're feeling pretty good. I don't know that I will ever be back to normal. I get a lot of hip pain if I sit too much. Im still dealing with neurapothy. The Onc says it's probably due to my smoking that it's taking so long for it to go away. My hair is probably about 5 inches now. It came back almost afro like right at the front and very curly at the back, but that has straightened out some. My hair was wavy before all this.  It's kind of thin on top. I need to get a cut now. I haven't had it cut since it started growing back.

Will you have to have any more surgery? You have been so strong and brave through all this.
