I had a balloon ablation about 2 years ago to stop my periods,becaaue of the pain associated with Crohns,and my monthly periods.

I had a ultra sound done and they found 2 cycts, they wanted to start doing a bunch of tests BUT it was the same time I was dx with breast cancer..exatly the same time, for my gnyo visit showed the  breast tumor.

so I have put all of that off until after the masectomy...which I am 6 weeks post op.

I had a period ....very very light but still I did bleed.....I am 45 and was wondering if abnormal bleeding or a change in periods during breast cancer is normal.

lolololol using the word abnormal/normal all in one sentance.....Guess I just answered my own question.

I wish I could answer that question for you, but I have not had a period in almost 8 years. I had a hysterectomy due to a very large tumor. (non cancerous) Im sure someone here will be able to answer that question thou. How are you feeling since the mast? I had one in March and then reconstruction 3 weeks later, overall I felt the mast was very managable.

tHE MASECTOMY WAS NOTHING...iN FACT THE DAY AFTER MY FATHER PASSED IN aLABAMA, WE DROVE 600 MILES THE NEXT MORNING....i DONT KNOW IF IT WAS MY MIND TAKING OVER OR WHAT, BUT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE PAIN.  HE EXPANDERS WERE A WHOLE OTHER DEAL.

mY DOC., SAID BODY BODY WENT INTO SHOCK, THATS WHY i WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN.

I DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THATS TRUE, BUT AT ANY RATE, THE EXPANDER WAS AWFUL.
