I tried to call her last night and got no answer, which worried me some. But then she sometimes goes to bed early. I'll try to call today and let you know what is going on if she doesn't. Hugs MK

It's me, happier than I was yesterday morning. First, the onc wants no more cutting on my arm. Second, he sent me to a dermatologist oncologist to get 5-FU cream. He says it will burn like the devil but will take care of the cancer. I now have to watch that arm forever and be on the alert
for other forms of skin cancer.
He then went on to move up my CT scan and chest x-ray. The internet says that this Bowen's disease could indicate another cancer. I had to get my port accessed a second time so they could take tumor markers.
Anyway, I do feel a lot better after seeing him and have the dermatologist appointment on Wed. I still have an appointment with the surgeon on Friday. Instead of removing another lesion, he's going to be removing my port. I cannot believe that we have been together for two months short of twelve years and we are now parting ways. But, we can blame technology for it. It seems there are newer and much better ones that they can put in if I should need another one.
I'm going to save it, drill a hole in it, and put it on my "Cancer Sücks" hat. I'll check back after surgery.
Love you, Lil Sis, Jo-Ann
PS - It's November. When does your chemo start?
