Ladies get your pink outfits out. I think I might even drag my drum out of the closet for this one. I think we need a little music to get this parade turned into a happening. I do not know about your Derm. but mine thinks I am nuts. I have my lucky pink underpants I wear to every visit. They are getting so old that I wash they very gently by hand, and she says she expects to see them again next year. All the blah blah blah aside. I want you to know my thoughts are with you, and PCE will hopefully help you feel us with you also. For the ladies that are new....PCE is an imaginary plane that brings all the ladies to your side when you are feeling the pressure and feel the need of your breast friends. We started out a big pink bus, but it got to the point where we were not able to make it to Washington state and New York in an hour. We upgraded to a plane and now we drink pink bubbles and wear pink outfits of any outrageous nature. When I am not around we have stand in captains and a dog for a steward. Now you can all feel free to jump on the PCE and join our cheer our Jo-Ann on rally. You know even the best of us need someone to be there for us, I know I sure have. Hi Joyce, It is great to see you in the cockpit again. The PCE must be covered with dust, it has been quite a while since it has moved out of the hangar. Since you are coming to TX to Jo-Ann, I will meet you over there. It will take me as long to drive there as for you to fly there. LOL.

Jo-Ann is really having a rough time with the C word again. Here she with clogged arteries, diabetes that goes haywire and she is worried about the spots. I worry about her driving, keeping those grandkids that are continuously coming for her to watch and feed and care for. And she is screaming from Shakespeare, "Out darn spot" or something like that. I think we need to just all have a fun visit and calm her down. She'll do fine after a visit from her friends to get her through this onc visit. She has been through so much, these spots are not going to wear her down.

My husband even has offered to go get her to come for a visit. Now is that a shocker??? This is the guy who has no time to do much other than fix farm equipment and dream about green fields next year and he is willing to drive four hours to get her and four hours to take her home. Can you believe it? The Deere is about ready to run, so she could even drive it if she felt like it. LOL. He also has a Farmall/IH now. And the boat has been safely transported to her new home on the farm. As he pulled it out across the field to store it in the building, the wind was blowing and the grass was waving. My thoughts were of "amber waves of grain" with a big sail boat going through them. It was a rather strange sight.

I know you wanted that slugger....... now why again??????  Put it away for a while.  He's showing some wonderful colors.  That offer is great, and maybe Cathi should take him up on it.  You may be just what the doctor ordered.  She could have fun with you guys.

 

As for the PCE, Did you know that there's a plane called a mustang?????  I'm getting one!!!

 

I'm right there with you with my pink boa and underwear!

I have an appointment with a skin oncologist on Wed and in-office surgery for port removal on Fri. I could really use all of you.

Count me in Jo-Ann. Tavish and I will be there with pink boas and pink booties on. Of course, we're going to see Bruce Springsteen tonight (yea!) but we'll be back in time for the PCE....you'll be in my thoughts, dear.

I start Chemo on the 17th of this month.
i got a call yesterday from a lady who is donating me a wig I get to pick one out for free... from a store in chicago.
She said that she s a friend of a friend and she heard about me and wants to buy my wig for me.....isn't that wonderful.THrough all this misery, I have met the most WONDERFUL people.
So many new friends, like all of you..I am so Blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the people we meet along this journey make such a difference in our lives. We have often laughed when we got together how different we all are and how we would probably never be friends if not for our common thread of breast cancer. So many of our friends have gone back to normal lives and are not active in the day to day board but you do see them come back now and again to report in. We are all blessed!!! Hugs MK

Good luck today Jo-Ann. You know the pink brigade will be there for support. Do you believe in miracles? I think I just read about one. I can not believe Chuck offered to leave the farm, to pick you up. Wow!!!!! Plus he offered to let you drive his J.Deere. I have to tell you I got carpet burn on my chin when my jaw dropped. Stranger things have happened I am sure but, M.K. please tell Chuckie I am so proud of him. If he keeps this up and we will have to paint his J. Deere pink. Make him part of the group.(I would love to see his face if someone said they were going to paint his farm equipment pink) Just thinking about this gives me chuckles.
Jo-Ann, as you know even when we are all there in all our wonderful pink outfits, we can not hear so good.....must be the pink clouds we fly through. So please let us know how you make out. Love and Hugs, and best wishes for some good luck.

LOL Joyce, I think Chuck would draw the line at painting his Deere any color but green. Right now it has some great brown rust tones on it. He has all his stuff stored in the building and he can just go there and enjoy working on it to his little heart's content. He is happy dreaming and planning. That is what is important. He's doing his thing and I am doing mine. All's well until one of us crosses the line to the others business. LOL. Tell Victor hi for me. Hugs MK
