I am so confused. I don't know what this means. I went for the diagnostic mamo today. The tech took pictures, we located the "palpable mass". When they squeezed for the extra pictures, I leaked. I was surprised and it was dark, it was just a little, and neither of us saw the contents. She said sometimes that happens because they are squeezing the nipple area so tight. Anywhoo, she then got a hold of the doctors office to ask for an order for an ultrasound, (since I was already there she said). So I waited and waited, finally it came through, and off to ultrasound I went. She squirted the goo, then scanned, and then asked me to find the area. So I did, it is difficult to find when I lay flat because it sinks into the gobly gook inside my breast, and everything shifts. She had the radiologist check her measurments and came back in 5 minutes and said I could go, they didn't see anything. WHAT?????????????? So am I an idiot? Am I imagining it? I am so embarrased and confused.
They were all a little put off by the fact that they have to speed everything up. It will be a miracle if my films are ready for pick up at 10 am tomorrow. Then the mammo tech made it quite clear that I must get these back from the surgeon and return them, because this surgeons office is notorious for not returning them to the right hospital. There are 2 owned by the same group and they are in close proximity to one another.
So should I be dancing in the rain and no longer need to stress out or worry? Nothing is ever easy for me.
What are your thoughts? Is it common that something would not show on the ultrasound? The mammo tech would not say one way or the other.
