I just felt the need to check in with all of my BC friends and see how you are doing? So many new names on the posts. Sorry to see you have had to join this wonderful group of ladies, but you have come to the right spot for support and questions to be answered.
Am doing good, in fact at my checkup Nov 1, my Onc dismissed me. He told me that unless I had problems or questions I could remove him from my list of Dr's. It is kind of scarey, but on the other hand a good feeling.
Still have so many other things going on which are all being said to be "side effects from chemo and radiation". I am currently doing PT because the muscles in my body are all so weak. Part of it I know is from having a desk job for 10 years and the rest of my time is spent driving to and from work and being so tired when I get home all I do is make dinner, clean up, do a couple loads of laundry and go to bed. That is changing as I am trying to get those muscles back in working order and hopefully it will help lose weight as well.
My heart function has improved greatly this past year, which is what led to the "you need to start working out" from the cardiologist. I have a few more Dr appts before years end, including a skin biopsy for some lesions - always something to worry about isn't it? Will keep you posted.
Sorry to see of the losses of more BC sisters, and the continued struggle of others. You are all always in my heart, thoughts and prayers. With the holidays upon us, my prayer for you all is for continued good health, overcoming all of your struggles, and a blessed holiday season.
Sorry this is long, but wanted to update you all. Please post so I can see how you are all doing. I still have the pictures taken in St Louis, as well as my "meet me in St Louis" t-shirt. Those are some wonderful memories. Would still like to have another gathering. I know Laurie W talked of one in Minneapolis, and I was hoping to see that happen. Maybe in 2008. Keep me posted.
Take care and Happy Holidays to you all. I miss you all.
Love, Kitty M
