EIGHT Year anniversary!

Wow.

Eight years ago November 30 marks 8 years since I learned I had cancer. Who could believe it then? Who could believe it now, 8 years later?

So many things to be thankful for this time of year and so many losses that I think of too. I often wonder why I am here and others are not, how random of an occurrence this is. I pause to remember those that lost their battles and think of all us who live on.

We're headed out of town in the morning for Leigh's nephew's bar mitzvah. This marks #2 this month, we were in NY earlier in November.

And for those of you have traveled with me for some or all of the 8 years, thank you and I love you all. For those that are just starting your journey, you can do this! There is a light at the end f the tunnel.

I was just wondering the other day what was happening we hadn't heard from you for a while. I guess married life and the job keep you busy. That's good! Eight years is good. Your trips for family events are good!

Just yesterday I heard of a new cause for cancer and breast cancer was mentioned. Working the night shift does it now. Neither my daughter nor I have ever worked a night shift. Hmmmm will they ever run out of stupid ideas to bring forward to cause cancer?Someone ought to compile a checklist and see just how many fit those of us who have never been part of their studies.

Have a safe trip to NY. We are going to TN in Dec to see everyone up that direction. Hugs, MK

Congratulations, my friend! May you have many more years of continued good health! This is a good reason to celebrate: have lots of fun dancing this weekend!

Congrats to you! yeah   It's 2 years for me.

So many things cause cancer. Can they just tell us what doesn't cause cancer? Geesh. What's next, driving in your car too fast causes cancer? eyes

Congratulations, Lori.

I know what you mean about wondering why I am still here, and others are not, but my feeling is that there are things left for us to do.

Have a great trip, hope the weather cooperates.  I haven't been on the board for a while, but wanted to check on all of you tonight.  Take care, Blessings be with you now and always.  You have a lot going for you and that is why you are still here.

Many congratulations Lori on your 8 years and thanks also.

It's nearly a year for me and I remember very well your lovely encouraging messages when I posted on here in a state of shock when I was diagnosed last December.

Congrats Lori, Nothing like those anniversary dances. They sure are special. I know one thing I never see a change of seasons without thinking about how wonderful it is to see them. Just wanted to wish you many many more.

MY DEAR LORI..CONGRATS ON 8 YRS....THE ONLY THING THAT CAN GET ME TO HAPPY DANCE THESE DAYS IS NEWS LIKE THAT..LOL...8 YRS AGO THERE WERE SO MANY OF US GOING THRU CHEMO TOGETHER....THANK GOODNESS WE HAD EACH OTHER.

HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT CELEBRATION...YOU SURE DESERVE IT....!!!!!!
