I am sorry to hear about your husband.  Sometimes it takes a lot of waiting and worrying to get disability.  I was denied at least three times and the quack doctor SS sent me to thought because I could stoop and bend I was fine walking.  He had no clue what I was dealing with, but thankfully the judge understood and I was granted disability.  Because it took so long I did get a nice check for back payment.  Who in the world would expect a 60 year old person who had already had one stroke to be able to work? 

Did you see the posts about Carolyn?  Her breast cancer is now in her bone marrow.  She is still working and doing what she can, but so far she says she feels ok, just tired.  Her blood work shows severe anemia but she is refusing to have blood transfusions until she feels it is necessary.  She is still carrying bags of horse feed......................   what a girl.

I did see the posts and debated on calling you, but then decided you might be tired of having to talk about it.  I am sorry for the latest disappointment.  I know transfusions are expensive, but does she have a friend or friends who might go in and donate blood to her?  It used to work like that - here, anyway.  It would be a fair exchange and not cost anywhere near as much, and it might be something they would continue to do if necessary.

I think I read that E. Edwards was having similar problems.  She looked tired at the primary the other night, but that could have been from just having to participate in the primary!

Take care of yourself, tell Carolyn she's in my prayers, and enjoy your farm.  We'll just wait around here for the JUDGE to finally hear our case and hope for the best.  That's all you can ever do anyway, hope for the best.

Actually I have not talked about Carolyn too much. She won't talk about it much. Not too many people understand what she faces. I tried to Google Elizabeth Edwards to see what I could find out, but most articles seem to be about when she was first diagnosed and how they got it all then.

Thanks for responding Glenda. I hope things get settled for you and your husband soon. It is difficult dealing with the government. I just got back some Medicare payment information for recent tests and visits for us. Medicare did not pay one cent on blood work which is necessary to keep up with the progress of both of our problems. The supplementary insurance will probably pay now. So crazy all this paperwork for nothing and the costs associated with it.
