Hi all,
Thanks for reading this. I have surgery planned for Tuesday at Sloan in NY. I am having a lumpectomy and ancillary disection (complete). I had the PET scan today and the doctor will go over results Monday which has me a little freaked out. I keep assuming they would have called tonight if there were any major "surprises". The only thing that was found on the breats MRI was a "small area of concern" located 2 cm in front of the original cancer. Surgeon said I will have MRI wires put in that day to make sure both areas are taken out. then the next concern, waiting for pathology the next week. It seems... it is always nervous, anxious, confused and sad is what I feel.
Does anyone have advice regarding this surgery... MRI wires? recouporating at home? Any advice would be great.
Chris
