As most of you know, MaryT passed away late last night.  We (her family) know she is in a better place and her long struggle is over.

Indeed, I had no idea that my mother posted to you all from the Rehab Hospital.  My father says he wheeled her down to the room where the computer is and she typed the whole message in herself.  You were all so important to her and we can't thank you all enough for all your thoughts, prayers, posts, cards and calls during this long difficult summer and fall.

Mary's obituary can be viewed online starting tomorrow through The Boston Globe, The Portsmouth Herald, or The Hartford Courant.  Tuesday will be the most comprehensive.

Mary's funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10:00AM at St. Theresa's Church, 815 Central Road, Rye Beach, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at www.komen.org.

God Bless you and your entire family.  God rest your soul Mary T.  You were one of the first that I met in Cincinnati back in 2000.  How many more I have met and how many more I have lost as friends but all are cherished with a bond that no one can break.

I walked today in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I thought of all of you and still somehow had a heavy heart. Little did I realize that we had lost yet another precious sister. Dear God, please help someone find a cure! Mary T's family you are in my prayers and thoughts even thought she is in a much better place, it is still so difficult.

Mary T. also was a member of the "St. Louis Gathering of 2000." That's where I met her. I think about all the beautiful women who were with us that weekend and so many that are now gone. There are so many. All I can do is echo Sara's prayer, "Dear God, please help someone find a cure."

Susan, my heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. Mary was a special person. She and her DH were the very first people I met at our very first meeting in Cincy. She was sitting on the sofa at the Inn when Peg Gray and I walked in. Peg had met her and knew who she was. She was excited about meeting everyone, and I was excited about meeting her.

Along with the others from this board who met her, I'll always remember her. Rest in peace, Mary.

Dear Susan,

At our 1st gathering In Cincinnati in May of 2000, MaryT, Peg and Glenda were the first ladies that I met....I was right in the middle of chemo and still so darn scared. Mary gave me a huge hug and said "You will be just fine dear"..for some reason I will always remember that....Such a kind, sweet lady. I am so sad that she has passed but glad that her suffering is over...

Such lovely messages for such a great lady.........I didn't call Mary often but when I did it was always great to talk to her and we could really talk. The last time I spoke with her was last spring just before our Louisville gathering. She wanted to come so badly, but she had a grand daughter who was being confirmed and an old dog that she didn't want to leave for long. I wish now I had called her when I got back from LV and talked to her more. She truly will be kept in our hearts with fond memories. Prayers for all of you, Mary K.

My deepest sympathies to your family on Mary T's passing. I was truly blessed to have known her and proud to call her friend.

I was fortunate enough to have met Mary in St. Louis. We got a chance to really talk. I just remember thinking that I hoped I had her spirit when I was her age! She was such a lovely lady...

Feeling so sad at losing Mary. I think that makes me the oldest here now, which is scary.

Susan and all, I am deeply saddened by the passing of another wonderful warrier.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary for lunch one day in the nearby town of Exeter.

She was warm, funny, and caring. We sat there for a long time and talked about this world of cancer, and all it does.

She reminded me of one great thing, that it brings people together and how happy to was to have gotten to "meet" and know so many of her breast friends.

She cared deeply about all of you, and I know she will be watching over us all.
