  To all of you who knew and chated with Leah, I thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers.  Your postings during the last days of Leah's journey were so helpful for me to read.  This is very difficult for me but I do want to let you all know that your words helped me get through the saddest days of my life.  Leah is not gone she is in the hearts of everyone she knew.

Thank you for your post....it is so thoughtful of you to share your feelings with us, during this difficult time for you and the family. Leah is definitely in our hearts, and I am so glad that we could help you during those tough times. We're always here....a few of the mothers of our lost sisters have posted now and then and some have struck up email correspondences...this darn disease has brought us together with beautiful friendships to always be cherished and nourished.

Several months back when I talked to Leah on the phone, she told me all about her mother. She loved you very much, she was so proud of you and knew that you were there for her and appreciated that. She was a beautiful young woman. The world has suffered a great loss in her passing, as you well know. I am so glad I got to meet her in person in Louisville. She was truly an inspiration to all of us and much loved by everyone who met her in cyberspace as well as in person. It certainly is to your credit that she was so loved and admired. Come anytime you feel the need to "talk", you are most welcome. Susan's mother posted for awhile after her passing and still corresponds with some of her friends. Other's keep in touch with Julie's Mom. We have lost some truly remarkable young women in our group and with each passing I think it gets harder. Hugs and prayers, MK

I was lucky enough to be Leah's roommate in Louisville. It was truly an honor to talk and be with such a special lady. She was so sprightly, and had such a great attitude about coping, I still can't believe she's gone sometimes.  We talked about work, family, men, kids, and moms.   We talked about our moms, in particular, about watching you go through such a terrible, terrible thing, to see your child battle cancer.  We expressed our sorrow for our moms to have to go through that.  She and I talked and talked. She loved her family so much.  I know how much you must miss her. I am praying for you and grieve with you.

Thank you for having her!  She was so special.
