I have a small lump on my breast, and it doesn't hurt..

I don't really king hernow anything about breast cancer or the lump issue, but I do know that it's supposed to be a bad thing if you have a lump in your breast. It's small--not even a centimeter in diameter--and barely rises above the skin. It's colorless.

I didn't think much of it at first, because I have had a problem with boils and they have shown up on the undersides of my breasts (Where the lump is now), but it hasn't gone away. I mean, the feel of it is similar, but the appearance is very different. Should I just not worry about it or get it checked? Do people even get breast cancer at 17?

While this is probably not breast cancer, it certainly wouldn't hurt for you to have a doctor look at it. You should be learning how to do self-breast exams, anyway. If you have had boils in this area, it is not uncommon to have scarring under the skin following the boil that causes a hard lump. Your doctor is the best one to help you figure out what this is for sure! Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
