Update on Luci....

I have talked to Luci several times..The tests came back..

and the Dr decided she needed an Angioplasty..it is a surgical

procedure.It is being done today. Luci's dear Husband

Barry will call me as soon as the procedure is finished.

I am praying that no damage will be found and that

Luci will be home very soon.

I am fighting the flu and my Diabetes is off the wall.

I am tired of being sick and more upset that the people

I love are having to keep fighting the effects of cancer..

I love you all

I've had the angioplast on both sides of my neck. My prayers, concern, and love are with her and with you, Cathi. It is so hard to sit back and watch bad things happen to the good people we love, but that may well be the reason we are still here fighting this disease.

 

I'm sending hugs to both of you. I hope Luci's episode is over very soon.

Cathi: Many hugs and prayers to both you and Luci. Life does suck big time sometimes, but like Jo-Ann said maybe that is why we are here doing this day in and day out. For the love of all our breast sisters. (Just an aside, my diabetes is out of control too. That makes it even harder to cope, for me anyway.) Love to you and Luci and to everyone else, Candy

Cathi, I am sure we can trust Barry to see to Luci. Can we trust you to take care of yourself? You were having trouble with your sugar before this happened and I am sure its really interesting now. Between the flu and the sugar I am really worried about you. Luci is in our prayers. We are all praying for her to be fine. I am sure it will not help her at all to know you are not taking care of yourself. Sure hope we have something nice to read about both of you and everyone who is fighting this nasty disease. Love ya. Joyce Ps. I think you should tell your dr. you get free visits. You paid for the flu shot so you should not have to pay for visits for the flu. I Can not wait to hear what he says.

Life sure sucks the big lemon sometimes, and watching friends and family in difficult times is harder than when we ourselves are the patient. I am praying for a successful test for Luci and some peace of mind for you, dear friend.....happy holidays and I hope you get the rest you need to get over that flu. Keep your chin up!

Cathi, take care of yourself. I really think outside things affect diabetes as much as what we eat. I have noticed when I have less sleep my test is much higher than when I get a good night's sleep. When I get upset it is much higher, too. That seems to affect it more than a bunch of sugar. When you are ill with the flu, it also can set it off. So you need to take care of Cathi. Luci sounds like she is in good hands. I will keep both of you in my prayers. Hugs MK

Cathi, ditto to what the others said....and new studies say that sleep deprivation leads to increased eating and craving of carbs, so please do take care of yourself. Enjoy the magic of the holidays and hope you get some good quality time with the kids.

As for Luci, I am so sorry she is having to go through all this but glad they are taking her seriously. Please give her my love and positive thoughts.

I just read what happened.  I remember talking to her about her heart in Louisville.  She was so strong about it.  I hope that strength is still in force.  Glad she's not alone in this.  She's in my prayers and I'm thinking of her

So sorry to hear about Luci's latest health issue.  Cathi, please let her know that I am sending prayers and many thoughts to her right now.  Anytime is a bad time for this news but the holidays is the worst time to be sick!!  

Now Cath, I hope that YOU are taking care of YOU too.  I will be saying a prayer for you as well.
