is anyone taking Arimidex

51, BC 2 left IDC 3mm, 4mm 10mm spread, clear nodes. 3 weeks radio, now on Tamo but having alot of problems possible change, my doctor suggested Arimidex has anyone been taking this.

I did for a short time, but stopped it; so I can't give you anything definitive. I know it has come up before, type in arimidex in the search box above and discussion threads should come up.

Hi Pinkie,

I was on Tamoxifen for 2 years, then my oncologist put me to Arimidex because of spotting on Tamoxifen. I was on Arimidex for 3 years with no problems. Everyone is different. Good luck with your decision.

I asked my oncologist if there was an alternative to tamoxifen and he put me on toremefene. Much more expensive, but my insurance covered it. My good friend was on arimidex and another similar drug, but they made her feel "like doody".
