Jules: I wanted you to read this because you replied to my other post and may not go back to it for my response. They just gave me a depo-lupron shot, that's supposed to put me in menopause. Both the obgyn and the onc approved of it. I'm on it with the tamoxifen. I'm going to get the hyster and oopher after my hemocrits recover and AFTER I can safely bank a few pints of blood. Seems it's a bloody procedure and I just had to have two units transfused last night and today, for another gyn procedure that caused me to loose a lot of blood. It's quite scary, seeing someone else's blood going in, painful too, because it's thick. I suggest you consider banking your own before going through surgery, if your onc approves, of course.
RE: the endrometrial biopsy: Please consider having the doc drug you for it. I had it done all of a sudden, without drugs, in the office, and it was quite painful and traumatic for me. Considering everything else that doc put me through, it's another example of what to watch out for... "Don't worry, you're definately in menopause" and "We can do that right here, now."
