It was an unbelievable beautiful day in Louisville KY today.  Beautiful blue sky, warm temp and it was Becky's day to celebrate her life.  I thought Angela would tell you but when I walked into visitation last night our beautiful Becky looked so peaceful and in her hand was a New Testament with a pink feather peeking out.  I completely broke down, but what a wonderful and yet sutle way Mike allowed Angela to help Becky take us all with her.  Angela and I both had pink feathers with us at the cementary, so each of you were well represented, we placed some on the flowers on the coffin and and we let the rest float away freely.  It was an especially difficult day and I can't write as well as most of you, but I felt you all with us and it was a beautiful day in spite of the saddness.  Becky's DH is one of the most wonderful people you can imagine and he has a wonderful family and support group around him.  Please keep them and especially Angela in your prayers as Angela has not only lost a dear friend but they had become more like sisters and she is really feeling the lost.  I think I am all out of tears, it has been a really rough day.  But our Dear Sweet Becky is flying high with the Angels and is at peace now, so I am clinging to that image.  Love you all

Thank you, Sara, I feel like I was there with you. You described the day beautifully. I can only imagine your sorrow and sadness today. The pink feathers were such a nice touch. I know how difficult it is going to be for Angela. Those two were so very close. I will keep her in my prayers along with Becky's dear family as they manage the next few months, years without her. Hugs and prayers for you, too. MK

Thanks to both you and Angela for being there for all of us.  I will be sending money for the flowers, but have been a little preoccupied lately.

Friday was a busy day with my spot compression, surgical appointment and a new grandson.

Dear Sara,

Thank you so much for making us feel like we were right there with you and Angela yesterday.  It was a wonderful, heartwarming post sweetie, YOU DID GOOD! 

I am so thankful that the sun decided to shine for our dear Mighty Beck.  The idea of the feather right there in her hand with the Testament was just so touching. I really feel like I was there by your description of it all.

I am sending both you and Angela a great big {{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}.  Hope you can feel it because it is coming from the heart.

I'll cling to that image too Sara, Mighty Becky flying high with the Angels and at peace now.  Thank you for taking us with you and Angela yesterday.  I really felt like I was there through your post.  Isn't it amazing what a little "pink feather" can do?  Gentle Hugs, Libby

Thank you for that, Sara. It sounds like a lovely and respectful ending to a wonderful and respected life. I cannot believe she is gone. I shake my head in disbelief.... and special thanks to presumably Angela, who got our pink feather inserted (to mark a special page, perhaps), so that a piece of our hearts will be with her forever. We know she is with us.

Sara,
You did a great job, Girl. I loved having you and all the girls by my side yesterday. I don't know if I would have made it without you all. You know this is where Becky and I met, amongst many of you. (At iVillage, of course). You will always be a part of my time with Becky and I love you all more for that.

Thank you, Sara, for your lovely post. I wished I could have been there with you and Angela, but I felt like I was in spirit. Becky was a beautiful person both physically and spiritually. I can still picture her entering the lobby at the inn in Cincy when we all met for the first time. Peg G and I commented on how lovely she was. I pray a cure is found soon. I will miss her.
