I cancelled my last year's holiday because of chemo and radiotherapy, but have been really well for nearly a year and so we are going abroad in May. I can't find any way of getting travel insurance as everyone of the companies I have tried states that no-one travelling should have any medical conditions. Can anyone help me with this one please?

I suspect that nearly everyone, especially those over 50, and certainly those over 60, have some kind of medical condition, Lynn. It would surprise me if it were otherwise. DH and I went to Kenya in 2001, five years after my diagnosis. But, I have an underactive thyroid and DH has hypertension. We went anyway. We had some form of travel insurance, but I do not recall it asking about medical conditions. My mother, 79, has traveled all over the world, and she gets travel insurance. She has degenerative arthritis and a new hip. Hasn't stopped her. Just my 2 cents. Lauri

Hi Lynn! I have to agree. There is travel insurance out there. I don't know your age but if you are a member of AARP (not meaing to insult you..lol) I am sure that they have something. Perhaps your travel agent can help you.
