confused I had an FNA attempt Thursday of what appeared to be a complex cyst. The FNA returned no fluid or tissue debris so the proceudre was then changed to a core biopsy. Has anyone heard of this happening and should I be concerned that it didnt have any fluid in it at all?

This is not uncommon, and the core biopsy is the usual follow-up. Was the FNA ultrasound-guided?

I called them today and they said they only check every weekday at 430 so I should call back tomorrow at that time. I made it known that I felt this policy needed to be revisited. They should check for those pathology reports at least morning, right before or after lunch and at 430.

I agree with you... it would be much better for us patients if they were more on top of things! Somehow, they get paid, anyway. Let me know, okay???

Results came back as Atypical High Risk Cells. I meet with surgeon Monday to schedule lumpectomy with clear margins to determine exactly what were dealing with.

MyPCM called and said Phyllodes ?!?!? I have never heard of it and I don't even wanna google it. Any ideas?

Most Phyllodes tumors are benign. So is it a malignant Phyllodes, or benign?

All he said was high risk Phyllodes.
